In poker discussion, aggression describes betting or raising rather than simply calling. It does not mean anger, larger stakes or a rule to attack every pot.

Explain the purpose of an action

A bet might seek calls from weaker hands or attempt to make another player fold. Those are different aims, and each depends on the board, action and opponents. Calling an action aggressive is only a description; it does not establish that the action is useful in the specific hand.

Patience is not a prediction

Waiting can mean declining to enter unsuitable situations or pausing before a decision. It cannot guarantee that a better opportunity or favorable card will arrive. The old title applied the advice to the entire casino, but poker concepts do not automatically transfer to random slot or roulette outcomes.

Keep emotions out of the rulebook

A desire to recover a loss does not make a larger raise better justified. An explanation should work with the information available before the outcome, not with anger or hindsight. This revision removes the claim that an aggressive style itself ensures profitable play.
