The original headline claimed that buying lottery entries online could make a person rich sooner. That claim has been removed. A change in purchasing method does not by itself improve the probability attached to a given entry.

Keep access separate from probability

An online interface may make entries easier to obtain or organize. The underlying draw and prize rules determine the outcome. Having more opportunities to spend is not the same as having a favorable financial proposition, and several losing entries remain a loss.

Understand what is being purchased

An official entry, a ticket-handling service and a product based on another draw can have different arrangements. The important question is what agreement actually exists and who is responsible for a valid claim. A familiar set of numbers does not establish identical terms.

Remove the investment comparison

The old text mixed lotteries with the stock market and treated convenience as a reason to expect a jackpot. This edition does not support that analogy. It preserves the URL as an archive correction, without active promotions, number predictions or recommendations to buy additional entries.
